Our Sensory Valentine
There are so many wonderful sensory ways of introducing your sensory loving kiddos to Valentines Day this February.
Teddy Bear's Tea Party
Together we set up our tuff tray as a teddy bear tea party. We included scarves, flowers, rose petals, chocolates, heart cut outs, plates and cups and of course teddy bears.
Love potion smoothies
We enjoyed finding pink and read fruits, yoghurts and sorbet to add to our blender to create a tasty and healthy smoothie. These heart straws made it extra fun too!
We were very kindly gifted this wonderful play dough kit. So many beautiful heart shaped loose parts to explore, cutters and feathers. The dough is scented too! We played for hours and will continue to use the loose parts long after this theme. Such a great resource!

If you've followed Our Sensory Kids for a while, you will know how much I love my DIY light box. (literally a clear box with fairy lights inside)
We explored our rose petals, feathers and heart shaped beads on the surface of the light box. Lots of fun to be had watching the petals fall from up high!
We read 'The Love in my Heart' by Tim Bugbird. A beautiful story about a parent's love for their child and how if affects the world.
