Wild West

We are having such a rootin' tootin' good time on this week's topic of The Wild Wild West!

We coloured white and brown rice to play with, these are our cactus prickles 🌵

This week's sensory bin is looking very inviting with our fun neck-a-chief or two...

We used lentils as the base and yellow sensory balls for tumble weed...

Green stickle bricks and massage rollers for cacti 🌵

Plastic horses and blocks to make clip clip sounds...

Rope and wool for lassos...

And tin cans for filling and building with...

How inviting is it all...
We have sheriff badge numbers to find, order and match.

And letter cacti, both from Twinkl.

A cowboy 'sieving for gold' twist on our sweet shop money task.

Fun 'ready steady go' activities including; gold sprinkles, whoopie cushion, water pistol and cacti ball.

These water pistols have been a hoot! I have to say shooting at adults seems to be much more fun than these targets!

Our topic song bag has had a cowboy revamp... who knew there were so many great tunes!?!

They tried so hard to recreate tumbleweed using glue wool and balloons, they are just the cutest!

For mark making this week we used stickle bricks, spikey balls and green paint.

My favourite addition is our cowboy sensory den. These cacti lights are from Primark...

Cow theme fabric hanging from the sides, a cuddly and soft texture...

Netting tumble weed to pull and stretch...

Furry cushions to lay and rest on...

And most importantly the kids love it and are choosing to use it 👍

And for snack... why green cactus jelly and sprinkles of course! 🌵

We loved finger painting on sandpaper to create these gorgeous cacti for our display.

Two weeks in and we are having great fun!

I hope this helps you in your cowboy classroom 🤠
